Salutations to Indra, the destroyer of the pride of the demons, the hundred eyed one, who holds thunder in his hands and who is the performer of hundred sacrifices.

mukham yassarvadEvaanaam
yEna havyamcha neeyatE I
yEna pravartatE sarvam namastasmai havirbhujE II
Salutations to Agni, the mouth of all the deities, who carries the oblations to him, by whom all the sacrificial rite is commenced.

yEna samhriyatE sarvam
yEna sarvamcha rakSHyatE I
yasmaadbibhEti lOkOsyam
yamaraaja namOsstutE II
Salutations to Yama, The Lord of Death by whom this world is destroyed and protected and whom the three worlds dread.

Salutations to Varuna, The Lord of waters, the holder of noose by whom the worlds are created and in whom the worlds retract back at the end of creation.
